Borrowed from a smart friend:
“I am not anti-Semitic. I just want a strong leader who can overturn the Treaty of Versailles and stop reparations and to give Germany back her pride.
I am not racist. I am just happy that we will re-arm Germany, contrary to the Treaty. I am happy that we will recruit a large army and build a robust new navy and air force.
I am not heartless. I am just happy that we finally have a leader who will reduce unemployment and make the trains run on time. I am happy that trade and markets will once again be free. I am happy that we are going to attack our enemies more aggressively instead of being walked all over. I am happy that prosperity will be brought back into Germany. I am happy that small business owners will finally be able to reap the benefits of hard work and dedication.
I am happy with Hitler’s promise of strong government and stability and am saddened that so many feel that we need to hide or downplay our satisfaction over our victory because of the fear that our opposing peers will label us.”
